I was a little hesitant about staying here - but for a budget friendly motel on a parents weekend, with limited choice, I have to say, i was pleasantly surprised. Most important for me was the cleanliness of the room - it was very clean, modern and enough space. The bed was comfortable, the staff / owners were super friendly. Its right next to a Pancake place so could roll out of bed and have a decent breakfast. About a 30 min walk to Kirkwood which was perfect for our stay. It got the job done - and cleaner than some of the other chain hotels that i have stayed at in Bloomington!

Our A/C unit did not work when we arrived. We called the front desk and the unit was replaced with a brand new one within an hour. Excellent customer service. Will stay here again.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. The rooms were extremely clean and just what we needed. The bathroom looked like it had just been remodeled and was also very clean. Our towels were exchanged daily, and staff came in to make our beds. We travel a lot, and this seems to be lacking at many hotels. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our TV wasn't working, and within 3 minutes, someone came to fix it. For the price, it was fantastic! We were in town for IU move-in, and it was close to campus. The breakfast place next door was fantastic. Do yourself a favor and look no further..... stay here!
