Very tired room. Single glazed windows which were very dirty. Really thin pillows.damp stains around the windows. No tea at breakfast. Didn’t help that I was stopped by a chap as I was arriving. Asked me if I was staying there and told me he’d checked in then straight out. Showed me pictures of dried vomit in the corner of the room and dirty stained sheets.
Make sure you pack an oxygen mask.
The whole floor on the fourth was shocking, damp, freezing cold, rotten.
The staff tried their best.
Someone was moving furniture all night above our room and it weren’t no regular headboard bashing !

It's fine as long as you aren't overprecious
Room was fairly basic but fine if you don't mind the shower leaking onto the floor but it wasn't that bad. There was a bit of a draught coming under the door but it was officially a storm that night. The corridors were also very tired looking and needed a good paint but I wasn't sleeping, eating or sitting in them and so it wasn't an issue for me.
Bottom line is that I would go there again
Not nice. Dirty, sick in the lift, blood on a door.
Fire alarm constantly going off, no fire. No apology when checking out even tho alarm was still going off. Ridiculous

Second stay at the rowton and will return. Is being refurbished so not perfect, hairdryer and clock not working, bathroom shelf needs tightening but staff very pleasant and helpful, room clean and comfortable. Very good price.

It all right :)
Shower some few hair on wall no clean wipe it, very cold in room, bed is sleep is ok, most noise door bang all time. Reception staff was good friendly :).
Bed was uncomfortable; I felt every spring in the mattress. Wifi was advertised in-room but only one of my devices could even detect it. The room was a freezer box with a non-working radiator; I complained and eventually got a space heater -- they refused to change rooms. I described my experience to my Uber driver when I left and he informed me that the Rowton is a place where people tend to go for a few hours, not a whole night. The place definitely had that feel.

Bathroom sink blocked. Sink stopper was in a locked position and I had to pry it apart with metal keys. Fan in bathroom was constantly on even half an hour after light was off. Hair dryer died with excruciating rasp. Otherwise everything fine.
Reception looks clean and nice but as soon as you enter the lift and make your way to the room, its whole new world. Overall decent for the price I paid. Good for using to just sleep.
Second time staying here.....and oh my days, this time I wish I’d slept in the car!!
Room was freezing, so cold that we had to get under the covers BEFORE we went out to get warm. Heating was just a small electric radiator that kept turning off. Reception Staff wasn’t interested.
Asked for more coffee to keep warm and got told no by rude receptionist. People on landing standing round whilst the place smelt like weed!! I know it’s cheap but wow, don’t even get heating!
Basic like an hostel.check in interrogation.eg.why book a twin when travelling solo.wanted photo i.d if you come in with someone else they will need photo i.d.etc no toileteries no milk stale hard coffee...
Looks the sort of place that would have been a grand hotel in its heyday, unfortunately that was years ago. Corridors & rooms are now very tired, peeling walls & dated decor. Draughty windows & a single tiny heater meant a very cold room.
Not the sort of place i'd take the Mrs (or girlfriend) but just about did the job for a couple of lads on a night out!

My stay was amazing because I got to check in earlier which really suited my needs at that time
Firstly I want to say when I read the reviews about the Rowton I was very apprehensive about staying there, but after my stay there last week I feel those negative reviews are completely unjust. I had a Christmas do to attend that night I was travelling alone and sadly my drink was spiked, I was left paralysed in the process losing my phone, keys, cards everything! A colleague brought me to my hotel, but the vigilant receptionist saw I was not in any fit state and refused to let me colleague take me to my room without security. I don’t remember any of this at this point I was paralysed and had blacked out. I woke up at 5am in the morning with no recollection of what had happened to me, I was tucked up safely in bed but didn’t know how. I was freaking out still with the after effects of being spiked I was in full on panic, frantically searching for my phone trying to understand why I felt like I’d be hit by a truck. I went to reception and was met by the front desk manager Amy and her colleague who were incredible, there’s not enough words I can say for how much they helped me that night. They had notes about what happened from the receptionist at the day shift Shazia, who even wrote the description of the men that brought me back with contact details so I could verify things. They calmly explained to me what happened both concerned about my well being and health. They all went the extra mile and made sure I got home safely when I had nothing. Thank you so much.
The sheets were clean. That was the only thing. It was cheap so I got what I paid for. But my ceiling was mouldy and the windows were all green with mould.
On my last nights stay I was torn from my sleep twice within an hour due to the fire alarm going off at 12.30am and 1.30am.
And the staff members were not help full and i was unable to return to a peacfull nights sleep resulting in less than 4hr sleep gaind.
