Overall, lovely hotel in central Birmingham. Great location. Within walking distance to fine dining, entertainment, museum and cultural venues and historic sites. Hotel is unique and historic. Property is in need of a little TLC. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed the stay. The building is historical but is update enough to be nice. The rooftop area was a big plus with great views of the city. We enjoyed a coffee from the lobby and a tasty lunch from the restaraunt. The people were nice and we will stay again.

Unique hotel

Hotel is very unique and located in downtown Birmingham. Surrounded by the business district. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The deferred maintenance by ownership is noticeable. The fitness center was not kept - Machines out of order, mold-stained ceiling tiles, water damaged doors, messy, and the key/fob system was not working so I had to be escorted by staff each time I wanted into my room, and not once was my ID checked prior to me getting access to the room. However, the staff was very friendly.

Cool hotel. Room was nice and the bed was just right. All the staff there were kind and helpful. Got shrimp n grits at breakfast, divine. Great coffee, too. The hotel is three blocks from restaurants and bars, easy to walk to. Easy to get a Lyft to/from Coca-Cola Amphitheater. Can walk to/from Amphitheater, just go straight up Richard Arrington Blvd N. Everyone we encountered in Birmingham at the hotel, restaurants, and Amphitheater were so nice! I look forward to going again sometime.
