Hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. Lobby is a construction zone and the breakfast area is closed. Lots of jack hammers and drills plus dust and debris in the lobby and parking lot. Room was nice and bagged breakfasts were provided. Location was convenient to the major roads.

I come through this part of Alabama generally twice a year, and I have stayed this hotel fairly consistently. The room rate can vary somewhat widely depending on what’s going on in the area. I like the location of the hotel quite a bit. It sits up on a hillside. It’s pretty peaceful. It’s easy to get in and out of with its own traffic light. It has ample parking. Hyatt Place is a chain that I like, but I might say this one is getting a little bit tired and could possibly use a little bit of refresh. However, if the rate is reasonable, I will be back there again.

The rooms were comfortable. The Staff was friendly. Make sure to verify where the room is located. The room I had was very close to the elevator. There was noise from the elevator. Breakfast had a lot to be desired. No fruit, no pastries, no selection of meats, no juice no bagels. A bar is advertised but it was broke down.

Good large room in good location. Breakfast had least variety of any hotel/motel of any that we have ever stayed in. No eggs, no waffles, and not even a single box of cereal. Coffe was very weak. Could easily see the bottom of the cup.

The staff were very helpful. The ice machine and one elevator were broken. The carpet in our room was stained and coming up from the tile. We were left 2 towels for a 6 occupancy room. The sink was broken and would spray everywhere unless you barely turn it on. Overall, the cleanliness and amenities could have been a lot better.
