"We stayed in room 201 in the main inn. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The free coffee and tea with ceramic mugs in the lobby were a nice amenity. I love a late night cup of tea! The inn is conveniently located a short walking distance from all of the shops."

"What a pleasant surprise to have stumbled on this unique inn with charm, history and characters. It has so much to offer: historic buildings with some 200 years of stories, super helpful hostess (big shout out to Kelly), comfortable bed and clean / spacious room, thoughtful details in the facilities (keurig coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast, lounges…) What I was looking for as a place to crash after a long drive turned out to be a highlight of our time in Montpelier."

"We chose to stay at this hotel based on its convenient location relative to our daily destination in the Barre, Vermont, area. Our stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. It has the advantage of the proprietor being in residence, and serving the guests personally to ensure their satisfaction with the accommodations. We will certainly stay here again on future visits to the area."

"Nice older property. We stayed in one of the upstairs log cabin rooms (nice) and one of the older motel style rooms elsewhere on the property. I don't recommend the older motel style rooms - small and packed with furniture and the HVAC seemed to be oversized (in the summer the HVAC wasn't drying the room so it felt cool, but moist). The upstairs log cabin rooms I would recommend - however, not the rooms near the office (room 10, 11, 12). Why you ask? Well the stairs to climb are over the break chair and table for the lady who runs the office. To say she is a chain smoker is being kind to chain smokers... she is constantly in this chair and as you climb the stairs all you smell is her second hand smoke. Not a pleasant experience to enjoy your stay at the Nootka Lodge."
