"Worth every dollar/ euro! I travel a lot for work in Asia, Africa and Europe, and have spent my fair share in many properties. The Fera hotel is simply gorgeous and its staff are amazing. From the warm, welcoming and professional team at reception to the cooks and waiters offering sumptuous breakfasts and lunch each day to the maids who left no detail overlooked while cleaning our room to the rooftop bartender who kept us hydrated and happy each afternoon through sunset. The building itself has been lovingly restored. We loved the details of our Superior room and its views of the city; the eye-catching and beautifully designed common areas (lobby, restaurant, rooftop pool); the incredible sunset views from the rooftop each evening; and even small details like the fragrant satchels of lavender left next to our pillows during each evening's downturn service. The hotel itself is ideally located in the Old Town with fantastic restaurants nearby and only 10 minutes from the Barra beach neighborhood. Highly recommend!"

"The property is in a great area. I traveled with a group of friends and all of us were able to get an individual unit in the building. The rooftop is so relaxing and peaceful! Security controlled 24 x 7. Only a few minutes walk to the beach front. Many restaurants and stores within a few minutes of walking. My only critique is that the water does not get hot. Its luke warm at best but other than that, the stay was great, especially for the price"

"A decent budget hotel in a safe neighborhood and a walking distance to Pelourinho. We loved their breakfast with a wide variety of selections. The restaurant also has a good menu for room service with very tasty food. Entire staff were amazing!!!"

"The big win for this hotel is the location, in the heart of the historic district. It's incredibly easy to get around on foot to many of the top visitor sights and sites as well as some great restaurants across different price points. It's also excellent value and the staff are really great and incredibly helpful and pro-active."

"Very good yet small place. For one person would be enough. It has a nice balcony facing the building views. Responsive manager. I recommend you to contact him before you arrive especially if you arrive past midnight or later at night. It has everything that you need. The surroundings are beautiful and very close to the Barra Port Beach which has an amazing view."

The staff at the restaurant and some of the staff at the front desk were nice but we did encounter a few people that did not demonstrate much interest in their guests. The facility is a bit old and needs some updates. The location is great and breakfast was amazing. Overall, not sure I would stay there again for the price. It didn’t quite feel worth the amount we paid for it."

"Amazing cost-benefit, you're in the heart of Salvador Carnival for the Barra-Ondina circuit. There are also good options to eat, very close to Shopping Barra, supermarkets, and drugstores. The hotel's structure is not the most modern or well maintained, but it is not an issue if you don't care about it. Also, be aware that depending on the floor, you may hear significant street noise."
