"So bad reviews were maybe accurate but it's better now and improving. More renovated rooms but not all of them yet. I opted for an older pre-renovated room. River view definitely better at the Grand Hotel but yes you can see it. Room was very clean; older furniture but not chewed. New carpet in hallways, so they are working it. Not quite the boutique hotel advertised but given some time they'll get there. I think the bar may be operational. A working kitchen would be great. Tables and space are there for a real restaurant. I'll be optimistic."
"The only reason to complain is not enough to drink! Was on floor for evening, all night and next morning- nothing was brought to or asked for drink order. Saw a little stand and got two little Pepsi’s but partner doesn’t like Pepsi. Got offered a Mimosa after checking out and time to leave… that sucked leaving with a roll of benjamins and thirsty still!"
"Our stay at Dunleith was terrific. Upon arrival being met by friendly smiling Caesar with an explanation of the property, and departure with Shauna easy and helpful, the experience could not have been better. We spent three days living and enjoying the wonderful Southern hospitality. The Castle (restaurant) and pub with a number of friendly locals and terrific staff certainly added to the event. After dinner wine on the wonderful second floor porch was mandatory. Before dinner it wasn’t bad either. Retiring to our large suite was wonderful. The pool after a round of golf at a local club was most inviting. The complimentary tour of the house added a feeling of being part of the South. We highly recommend the Dunleith to help fill your bucket. Fourth floor stay makes it complete."
