Wonderful hotel with great staff. We have stayed here before & highly recommend this hotel beautifully designed by Geoffrey Bawa it is a gem.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Bentota for 3 nights in June and it was fantastic. It is a boutique hotel, smaller, more personal, elegant and felt much more authentic than a large hotel chain. The grounds and rooms were beautiful with everything you could need. The highlight was the staff - they were extremely professional, warm and the service was outstanding. Absolutely recommend.

Nice hotel but shame about room 3

Lovely building, nice staff and good food but do not allow the hotel to put you in room 3. It is a tiny room and has a living area which is not enclosed! It is full of insects and is stiflingly hot. As we were only staying one night, we put up with it and suggested to the manager when we left that they should not be marketing a room like that. He said all the right things but it did feel as though the next unsuspecting guests were about to arrive. Do stay here but do not have room 3.
