Stefané was absolutely wonderful. I came later than expected and he waited for my arrival, welcoming me warmly when I was flustered and anxious. My stay in ‘Plume’ was delightful. Shower is HUGE, as is the room. It’s closely situated to downtown and is the perfect place to stay in Beauvais.

Ok hotel, probably wouldn’t stay again. Room check-in only between 5-8pm, check out 10:30. Check in person was nice and polite and upgraded us to a ‘suite’. I didn’t like the fact I could hear other guests stumbling in late at night from my room (very loud and creaky staircase and landing), the location slightly out of town, but fine for 1 night.

I wanted a night of relaxation after a weekend in Paris and an early morning flight, and I couldn’t have made a better choice. The owners are so welcoming and the whole building is a comfortable, relaxed space. The garden terrace is very special. As for my room: it had loads of space, the bathtub is such a great feature (and incredibly clean, bravo on the detail work), and I slept like the dead. Would 110% recommend.

This property was difficult to locate and staff was not accommodating. Sleep was difficult as the lights were motion sensor and would randomly turn on and off all night long. We were more than a bit disappointed.

We did not check in. I did not notice when I booked that the check in was not until 5PM. When I received an email informing me of this, I attempted to call the hotel to request an earlier check-in, but there was no response. We arrived at 12PM Noon with a lot of baggage. The owner was extremely rude to us and basically told us to go away and come back at 5PM. We were horrified. We left our baggage there, and went to have some lunch and see the cathedral. We then decided to change to the Mercure where we were warmly greeted. When we went back to the Salamandre at about 2PM to pick up our baggage, it was locked. No one was there. We had to wait until 5PM to pick up our baggage. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Perfect Stop!

Just a 1 night stay before catching our flight home and glad we stayed at the Salamander. Stephan and 2 year old chocolate brown Braque named Uma welcomed us into the family home. It was very relaxing having a nice drink in the garden and the room was tastefully decorated, equipped to a modern high standard and in keeping with the property. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with clean crisp linen. Good internet access and very clean.
