Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a quiet place away from the crowds. Duncan is a great host & the food was excellent. It is a good base for outdoor activities such as hiking or fishing.

Excellent hosts, service, superb food. Room comfortable but shower very weak (over bath) and hot water flow not great, but overall it was great and I would stay again.

Lovely cosy stay, great hosts

Really lovely stay, Duncan was so kind and thoughtful. Food was great. Room was spacious and comfortable, very clean. The downstairs residents lounge was cosy and we spent time there every day. No criticisms at all, it was a great stay.

Owner and staff very friendly and helpful, but the property needs much renovation and refits especially the bathroom which was so dated and tiny. Clean beds and towels and the food was fine.

A lovely hotel and a very warm welcome

This is a hidden gem of a hotel, small and very friendly. Duncan and Luzaan are so welcoming and we felt very relaxed. Meals were superb and we felt very well looked after. Great tips for lovely walks by the river and further afield. Would love to go back again and do some exploring in the local area - this time with our dog as the hotel is dog friendly.

The property is well positioned away from main roads. Very quiet and the air is fresh. Host was very helpful, courteous, gave ideas on things to do in the area. Food was superb and freshly made.
