"Hotel was in an excellent location at the bottom of La Rambla towards Christopher Columbus monument, there’s a bar/restaurant next door for beer and food, breakfast is served in the hotel, there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although I think you can request not sure if there’s a charge. Hotel clean and quiet and would recommend. However there is a lot of building work going on throughout the length of La Rambla, was not aware of these works and would have been good if the hotel had shared this information. 4 night stay was enjoyable."

"Over all room was nice and clean. There was no bottle of wine in my room, but I don't drink. Food was good."

"The hotel had a modern look that I liked, but it could have been cleaner. The tiled shower had dark areas that appeared to be mold. One of the lamps near the bed was loose and shaky. We had 4 guest in our room and had to constantly remind them we needed extra towels. It wasn't horrible or great, but for the price I expected alot more."

"The hotel is gorgeous and in a prime location. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. Blackout curtains ensured the best rest possible. The bathroom is spacious and modern with all the most luxurious toiletries available. My favorite was that the bathroom was stocked with ALL Bvlgari au Thè Vèrt bath and body products. Overall there are no details left out. The cons: there was no way to turn on the towel warmer. This is a bummer as it’s one of my favorite things about a 5 star hotel. There were 2 TVs but the single remote that runs them would power them on and do nothing else rendering them completely useless. We tried everything just to get news or local info in the morning but neither worked. Not a problem as we were obviously not there to watch TV but seemed odd at €500 per night not to have these features working tip top! The only other thing to note is that this hotel will “nickel and dime” you at every turn. After paying €500/night they want an additional €24/person for the standard breakfast. We skipped that. If you want late checkout, which only buys 1 extra hour €60! That’s a euro per minute to checkout at 12 rather than 11. If you book directly through their site you can get free parking in the public lot in the square if not €28/day. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Barcelona Cathedral. The view is spectacular and excellent service."

"Breakfast was great. Room and facilities freshly renovated with old world vibe respected. Excellent location! Hint...if using Black and Yellow taxi...instruct taxi to drop you in front of hotel...not in the square. From the cruise port to Rialto, Gothic Quarter, should be under 30 and dropped at front door. Live and learn! :) They were very fast , no wait, short drive."

"The roof top bar was a bonus with a fantastic view of the church. Staff were helpful with early check-in, luggage storage, and taxi assistance. The hotel does need some TLC and to be updated with electronic USB charges but all in it was a good one night stay."

"I have to say that this hotel is not getting a good rating from us. At $300 or more a night it has been the noisiest hotel ever. Door slamming and people talking loudly in the hallways and someone keeps rattling our door knob while we are trying to sleep. I chose this because they had an excellent rating but this is not good. We had to be up by 5:45am and it’s hard to sleep with so much noise. Poor design is to blame, the heavy wooden doors do not close automatically causing people to have to pull them closed which most people slam them closed causing lots of noise throughout the hallway. Not to mention that the food place cannot even offer dressing selections for their salads. I would have asked for refund if it wasn’t late at night and no other choice available."
