Nice and relaxing!

It’s a very cool place to stay: it’s surrounded by nature only! It’s relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are old but on line with the type of place. The breakfasts are good also. You feel like your stay at your grand’ma place! Charming people run that place. We would come again!

Great location close to all places Tuscany

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Beatrice, a lovely lady who owns the vineyard. Amazing location if you like the Tuscany wine country. You can stay here and be everywhere within 1/2 hr to 1 hour short drive. The premises are built or expanded on an old family villa with a balance of modern and historical feel. Breakfast by the terrace facing the vineyards below, takes you into the movie "The gladiator", with beautiful nature all around you. Beatrice, the owner, is fully hands on, and will go above an beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant. There are some wear and tear at the location but you need to have an open mind and appreciation of where you are. This is a family run business with all the care of a service driven organization. Do not expect contemporary and shiny here, but expect culture, respect, excellent food, great ambience, favourable weather and easy and welcoming people.

We were able to follow GPS to the location with no problem. It is a long narrow road to the house and is lined with olive trees. When we arrived, we were met by the owner. We said we were there to check in. She asked if we booked with Expedia and then mentioned our names. We were out of the office area yet she knew who we were. We were the only guest. She explained later they are usually closed for the season but allowed our reservation to continue as she had not removed it from Expedia. The views are amazing. We had the place to ourselves and lounged around the patio area overlooking the views. Rooms were nice, clean and decorated. We were visited by the owners cat and dog that hung around. We did walk the property and found the vineyards. Grapes had been licked already, but the sunset views were amazing. Due to being we did not dine there, but it is set up for breakfast and dinner if she is let know early enough that you wish to eat. Town was a short drive away. Dining and stores near by.

Poggio Alle Lame is a superb find. Incredibly warm and welcoming host and team, comfortable rooms, with air con, WiFi and all that jazz. It’s quiet, peaceful and rustic. If you’re looking for ultramodern glass and chrome - keep looking! But if you’re looking for comfortable, stylish, authentic Italian country hospitality, look no further. The setting is beautiful, a quiet hill top not far from a small town. There’s a fine, shady terrace to take breakfast and the fabulous home cooked dinners. Try the wine and oil produced on the estate. There’s a pleasant pool with loungers, shades, fine views over the Tuscan hills or just watch the lizards frolicking and basking. It’s 45 mins to downtown Firenze and about the same to Siena. A special word about Beatrice - owner and host. She’s fabulous, a forza of nature and an amazingly attentive and welcoming host. Highly recommended - you won’t regret it!

Sehr empfehlenswert auf Grund der Lage

Wir hatten leider nur ein Doppelzimmer zur Verfügung, da alles andere schon ausgebucht war. Aber die perfekte Lage, die schöne Aussenanlage, Pool und Garten haben das ausgeglichen. Guter Service und gutes Frühstück! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir durften 5 Nächte zu Gast sein. So herzlich, wie wir bei unserer Ankunft begrüßt wurden, hatten wir das Gefühl in der Familie aufgenommen zu sein. Beatrice die gute Seele des Hauses kümmert sich liebevoll um die Gäste und deren Wünsche. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen und können dieses Haus allen Toskanaliebhabern wärmstens empfehlen.

Una ottima esperienza! Camere con giardino privato e piscina pulita con vista! La proprietaria veramente molto gentile. Siamo arrivati tardi il venerdì sera e ci ha aspettato per darci le chiavi e per la colazione si è subito attrezzata per la mia intolleranza al lattosio. Davvero una bella esperienza che consiglio a tutti dato che non è così comune trovare persone così gentili e disponibili.

Le aspettative erano troppo alte

Una location meravigliosa, immersa nelle verdi colline del Chianti. Purtroppo il prezzo pagato non rispecchia lo standard del posto, l’agriturismo è trascurato, personale senza un minimo di tatto, la pulizia è un mondo apparte. La colazione.....10euro, vabbè ci può stare, ci saranno tutti i prodotti dell’orto, macché, due marmellate, uova lesse, e due pomodori, il resto (tutto comprato) di bassa qualità e contato! Le tazze lavate male, col rossetto rosso appiccicato. La cena......premesso che volevamo passare due giorni fuori dal caos della città senza prendere la macchina per andare fuori a cena, la signora insisteva a manadarci in un loro ristorante a qualche km da lì perché avevano troppe persone (20!!!!) e non sapeva come fare......la sera seguente “mica avete bisogno di me stasera per la cena?!???” Testuali parole della titolare...... Se non potete dare questo servizio non scrivetelo! Le camere......ce l’hanno fatta scegliere tra tre tipologie (ottimo per noi, ma vuol dire che ad agosto non sei pieno) all'apparenza pulita, poi vai a vedere ed piena di ragnatele, siamo in campagna e ci sta! Ma una camera se dai il servizio di riordino alla mattina i tubettini di shampoo finiti nella doccia vanno tolti e metterne di nuovi e perlomeno sciacquare i bicchieri sporchi di The della sera prima....è stato solo rifatto il letto. L’unico, e ribadisco l’unico punto di forza di questa struttura è la piscina a sfioro sui vigneti....bellissima!!! Spero che valgano come cosigli!

Schöne ruhige Anlage mit toller Fernsicht

Das Hotel Poggio alle Lame liegt am Ende eines knapp 1 km langen Pflaster-/Kiesweges. Es ist dort absolut ruhig für erholsamen Urlaub. Vom schönen Swimming-Pool hat man eine tolle Fernsicht über die Toskana. Das Zimmer war nicht allzu groß, aber ausreichend. Das nicht sehr große Bett mit einer Decke gewöhnungsbedürftig. Kein Radio, kein Fernseher. Das Frühstück war sehr gut für italienische Verhältnisse. Das Abendessen konnte tageweise gebucht werden und war absolut fantastisch. Englisch-Kenntnisse sollten vorhanden sein, da die Eigentümerin kein Deutsch spricht. Ansonsten überwiegend deutsch sprechende Gäste.

Beautiful location.

Great host with a beautiful location. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine to drink on the lovely terrace. The views were amazing. We didn't end up using the pool but I wish we would have. It looked so beautiful. The mattress was a little hard and the air conditioner didn't work super well but overall really enjoyed our time there

Friendly relaxed break

This holiday was exactly what we wanted - relaxed and peaceful. The owner was extremlely welcoming and had gone out of her way to provide the champagne which our children requested over the phone as an anniversary gift. On the days when an evening meal was available it was a delicious 6 course set meal served on the terrace family style.

Hyggelig agriturismo i de flotteste omgivelser

Vi havde booket en enkelt overnatning i forbindelse med et Toscana road trip, og det var virkelig det perfekte afbræk fra de skønne, men tætpakkede og turistede byer i regionen. Vi fik den varmeste velkomst, og personalet var generelt rigtig søde. Den femretters menu (inkl vin og vand - til bare 25 euro!), som vi fik serveret, var simpel, men virkelig lækker! Området og udsigten er fantastisk smuk. Kan uden tvivl anbefales og håber selv at vende tilbage en anden gang!

Piscina e paesaggio favolosi, camere così così

Agriturismo in bellissima posizione con vista incantevole soprattutto dalla piscina a sfioro, un relax incredibile. Paesaggi bellissimi immersi nella natura e tranquillità. Purtroppo dalla strada principale non c'è nessun cartello di indicazione per raggiungere la struttura e non è facile trovarla perchè in una strada chiusa e sterrata. Non c'è wi-fi in camera e l'aria condizionata è a pagamento. Ci hanno mostrato 2 camere da poter scegliere ma in una c'era un odore fortissimo e insopportabile quindi abbiamo scelto per forza l'altra. Diciamo che era ok ma si può fare meglio, c'era anche lì un odore un pochino sgradevole, non pulitissima, i cuscini per i lettini sdraio abbastanza sporchi. Per il resto la camera e il bagno erano ok. Il posto era favoloso e la piscina molto bella. Buona colazione e padroni abbastanza gentili e disponibili. Vicino all'agriturismo c'è un ristorante, consigliato da loro, dove si mangia molto bene.

Hotellet har en superflot stor swimmingpool. Værelserne er store og godt stor badeværelse. Morgenmaden er god. Hotellet tilbyder aftenmenu til 25€ pr person. Det var lidt simpel men OK mad - men prisen måske lidt i overkanten. Vi var der sidst i semptember hvor vejret er lidt koldt morgen og aften. Et godt sted for en ferie i højsommeren på grund af pool og terrasse til værelserne.

Camere senza alcun comfort

Camere vecchiotte, ultraspartane e senza alcun comfort, ma abbastanza pulite; male illuminate,non c'è TV,asciugamani all'osso (solo telo bagno e uno viso) e dure da sembrare cartone,acqua al massimo tiepida (mai calda davvero),un solo contenitore (peraltro smezzato) di sapone liquido e solo sul lavabo.Tutto all'insegna del risparmio assoluto ma a discapito del cliente.Buona posizione hotel,silenzioso e tranquillo,bel panorama.Si dorme bene.Discreta prima colazione.Piscina carina.Proprietaria gentile,cordiale,affabile,ma non ci tornerei,troppo,troppo spartane le camere.

just ok

Great view over rolling hills and that's about it.. Clean place, friendly service but nothing special and for the price-not worth it. We stayed at Villa Campomaggio for almost the same price and much, much nicer place.

Vänligt och personligt

Väldigt trevligt och familjeägd gård. Middagar lagas på plats och var både gott och mer än tillräckligt. Ligger bra till med utflyktsavstånd till många sevärdheter. Mycket vänlig personal.
