Small, musty, filthy

Do yourself a favor and spend $10-20 more to stay at a better place. Dirty, bathroom was corroded, ceiling/wall full of stains. Because the room was so small without a window, it gets humid and musty.

No greetings whatsoever when I checked in. Strike one. Language difficulty. You need staff that is courteous , AND that speaks basic English. Strike two. You REMOVED the free coffee in the morning. Strike three. I had to ask for toilet paper and soap. Strike four. The mute older lady had a serious attitude. Strike five. The sheet was filthy and smelling. Strike six. Thank God I had brought my old silk liner! To the owner: Please bring back the coffee, and try to teach manners to the staff.

The location is very very good. We have toured around bangkok and still feel that khao san road is the best. Every night we have to pass by khao san road, and they have the most delicious pad thai ever. However, the bed is a little hard though, but room is very reasonable for a price like this.

Avoid internet booking with this guesthouse

Avoid internet booking with this guesthouse as long as it does not change its room description policy. The room that I booked by internet 8 days in advance was on the ground floor, at the same level as the lobby and the entrance of the guesthouse, room #5. As a result I had a bad night because of the noise in the lobby all the night long although the guesthouse appears to be in a quiet location. Furthermore, the door of room # 6, next to my room could not be closed without a loud noise and that's what happened at 1.30 am the first night and at 2.35 am the second night. I asked for a change of room but the management refused because the upper floors were full. That's why they had rented me the room by internet that otherwise could not be rented under normal conditions. The description of the room was deceiving as it was not mentioned in the field "Need to know" that it was a room on the ground floor, near the lobby and the entrance and as a consequence it was a noisy room.

Pratique et pas cher mais limite sur la chambre

Pratique par rapport a l'emplacement (5 min a pied de Kaohsan Road. Mais notre chambre était un bout de couloir avec du carrelage sur le sol et les murs Salle de bain et wc très très petit et sans porte. Un rouleau de PQ vous sera donné au début de séjour. Serviette hyper fine.. Lit hyper dur Bref pour moi ce n est pas un guest house Mais plutôt un viel hôtel miteux mais pratique pour son emplacement et sa climatisation.

A Good Option

It was a quality, no-frills place with nice people. You can hold bags there for 10baht/day and it is very close to a lot of great stuff.

Nice quiet guesthouse in good location

Good cheap guesthouse close to Khao San Road, but far away not to be noisy. Has basic facilities that cover needs for a short stay. WIFI worked quite well. Staff were very friendly even their English was quite limited.
