Decided to stay close to Edelweiss Dental House for the first exam as it was within walking distance. Quiet room, very nice, friendly, and welcoming staff. Great breakfast Buffett as it had a mixture of authentic Thai, Indian, and Western cuisine. The coffee was amazing. Would stay here again.

Customer Service was an A ! Their employees Mek was very hospitable and spoke English as good if not better than a native speaker. Staying at the Gold Orchid was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be returning. I will be referring others to stay there as well.

They advertise 2 for 1 happy hour on all alcohol but when i ordered a beer i was told it was only on Heineken draft...i complained and they did give me the extra beer. Breakfast was very basic..probably because i was the only guest there...i just had toast and cornflakes.

Litt slitt som er under oppgradering

Hotellet er under oppgradering. Hadde dog "gammel" suite, ble oppgradert fra standard rom da hotellet var overbooket. Frokosten er litt kjedelig og lunken, kunne vært varmere; Amerikansk frokost for vestlendinger, liker man asiatisk frokost er det mer å velge på. Om man tar seg over veien, er det flere restauranter og velge mellom om man ikke vil spise lunsj/middag på hotellet. Hotellet har utendørs svømmebasseng, mulighet å trene med vekter og sauna som kunne oppgraderes, litt sliten av elde. Det er også en spa avdeling med lang åpningstid med massasje, aromaterapi mm så man trenger ikke gå ut av hotellet for det. Det er nært til kjøpesenter Cetral Lapau, med taxi tar det under 10 minutter.

I booked the suite, so the room was big. The price is also good. Anyway, the amenities inside room are old and there was no socket to plug the phone close to the bed. I also find the breakfast is poor for European taste. There is nothing much close to the hotel, but it was convenient for me.I did not try the restaurant.
