We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been.

Characterful inn in rural Oxfordshire

I stayed here to attend a wedding in the local area. The pub has great character based on its age. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

Lady at breakfast made the stay exceptional. Wonderfully friendly, interesting and informative. Great breakfast. What wasn't great was the noise travel from what sounded like macerator flushing from rooms above or nearby, and no bottles of water left in the room.

Everyone at this hotel is great. Happy and make your stay really good and easy. Always important to have a good shower and the shower was great in my room. The food is excellent, breakfast is amazing and very good value for money.

It’s an old building so it was a small well designed space. It was Warm Clean and en-suite Stairs are a winding! Very polite and nice people Exceptional Breakfast! We’d would return Nice Vibe

Easy to find and has plenty of parking spaces. Room was small but perfect for one person. The bar was nice and had a great roaring fire which was great in the evenings where you can enjoy a nice meal.
