"Minnies cottage is in the middle of very beautiful farmland, it's close to Killeavy Castle, walking distance to a nice little pub called Johnny Murphy's and a small grocery store. The hosts and the property is warm and inviting. There were 4 of us and there was lots of room, 3 couches. The owners take pride in their property, it's very well built, beautiful and clean. Highly recommend this property if you just want a couple of days in the country or are attending a wedding at the castle."

"Lovely apartment. We had a really nice few days here. No allocated parking, but we never had a problem finding a space close by. Good to have a shop so close (literally under our feet.) Facilities were good; enough kitchen utensils, pans, etc. that we could cook meals with no problems. Nice bathroom and excellent lounge area. Seating area and space outside as well if the weather permits. Nice area to walk around as well, with harbour and coast very close by. The location is a bit off the beaten...

"Fabulous hotel in lovely location. I could tell you about the great bedroom with very spacious bathroom with great towels. Both spotless. I could tell you about their excellent dinner menu & equally excellent breakfast. Instead I'll tell you about the staff. Every one of them from check-in to restaurant staff were friendly, knowledgeable & professional. A credit to the hotel."

"Just a lovely spot, 5 minutes driving from town and the shore in Newcastle, 15 or so to some great hiking trails. Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to go back. Seems to be a holiday spot for the Irish and those from the UK, not overrun by our fellow Americans. "
