Walk through Old Town-Stare Miasto, full of beautifully preserved Gothic architecture, home of Copernicus and gingerbread cookie-Toruński Piernik. No need for transportation from the hotel, walkable distance to all historic buildings, museums, cathedrals, gift shops, restaurants. Hotel serves amazing buffet breakfast in a fabulously decorated restaurant, truly unique experience. Staff is super nice. Room was very clean, stylish and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again. "

"This property is in a fantastic location and when I am travelling that is probably the most important consideration for me. I walked everywhere! People have noted that there is no elevator and so the stairs are hard to manage with luggage. That’s true but I stayed for almost a week and that didn’t bother me. The breakfast situation is quirky… a mixture of breathless room service (lady suffering the stairs) and restaurant buffet. Very friendly staff and no shortage of quaint character about the place. I felt very at home. The room was spacious with a small kitchen. The bed was fine and the TV worked (but I never watched it). The tiles in the bathroom floor need some maintenance/repair but that’s just par for the course I think and again of no concern to me (but it might bother others). For the price I think it’s excellent value. And especially if like me you are an experienced and robust traveller, I doubt there are better accommodation deals to be had in Torun. Overall super content…. Well done!"

"I enjoyed staying at Mercure Torun. Location is great,only few minutes walk to old town. Beds were extremley comfortable and breakfast very good. "

"I had two weeks Christmas vacation. This is the only bad experience in lodging. First of all we arrived at about 1pm in Torun, then I only get one instruction email, while I was waiting for lunch, I was communicating with the owner/ customer service of the instructions. As normally you should get two set of pass code, one for the apartment door. As she said the audio on the phone is not good, she asked me to text her. After I text her, she sent a six digit PIN code. She asked me if I get in. So I left my husband and children in the restaurant waiting and I walked 10 mins to the apartment to try, but by about 2pm I still couldn’t get in. I asked her which PIN code is this for. She sent me a screen shot that circle the check in time is 4:00pm. Come on, this is not a hotel. And it is cold winter, if that’s the first thing why do you first ask me if I can get in. You can say I will send you the instructions by 3:30 or something like that. Then she said she is I. Meeting, she asked again my name and I asked if I can check in early, then there is no reply at all. I went back to the restaurant, my foods are completely cold. I have to take my family to a cafe to warm up, we spend $90 for waiting for a room costed less than $80. Until 4:30pm, I pinged her again to ask for instructions, still nothing. I contacted Expedia, the agent there said they will reach out to her, two mins later, she sends the instructions,finally we got in the apartment by 5pm. The wifi code was wrong "

"Every member of the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Hotel was perfectly located within the very heart of historic Toruń. Room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and fairly priced. I recommend without hesitation."
