The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The property had been upgraded recently, was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The location was excellent, and we could easily walk to everywhere we wanted to go, see, and do.

A great stay

Supper location, great building, wonderful room, nice service, delicious breakfast. We watch the the fir work on our balcony on new year's eve. It was a splendid experience.

The property was beautiful. We stayed in the back building. Unfortunately the heat did not work in one of the rooms we stayed in. The Hotel tried their best to get it working at night and when they couldn’t, they issued us a full refund in the morning. They were very helpful.

This hotel is steeped in history but has all modern facilities. The central staircase is a wonderful feat of engineering and time should be taken to appreciate it both looking down from the top and up to the stained glass window in the ceiling several floors up. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could think of provided and all the staff were attentive, polite and very helpful. Our room overlooked the main road but was very quiet. The hotel is central so you can walk to shops and bars etc very easily. Would recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and all staff were very helpful, polite, respectful and friendly. We especially appreciated the special little touches, for example the complimentary fruit platter in our room on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble.
