The Murray Premises Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed at the Murray Premises from Sept 22, 2026 to Sept 29, 2026...it was beautiful, historic, loved the ambience. The wood beams and brick walls in the rooms and throughout the hotel set the scene of the hotel. I loved the fact that this hotel, is not your typical "cookie cutter" hotel, this building has history too it, it was built in 1846, but the renovations over the years have made this into a beautiful hotel, and kept it's history. The rooms were nice and clean, and the cleaning staff did a wonderful job and were always helpful if you needed anything. The beds were so comfortable, and I loved the shower (great water pressure). The lounge in the lobby where they had the complimentary breakfast set up, was wonderful, always had the food and drinks on hand for the breakfast hours, and then the breakfast hours were over, they still had the lounge open for people to sit relax, have a coffee or tea. They had a big TV set up over the fire place, you could just sit and relax there for a bit if you were coming in from a touring day and didn't feel rushed to go back up to your room. The hotel staff checking in and out were amazing, quick and efficient. We received our wake up call the morning when leaving (we had a very early flight out of St John's), they called us a cab to get to the airport. They we so helpful throughout the week with tips, information about the city, suggestions for places to eat and things to see. Absolutely will be staying at this hotel again, 100%"

Jag Boutique Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We were a group of 10 friends ... 5 rooms. Check in was smooth and efficient. The valet parking was a definite bonus for us (2 vehicles). Our rooms were clean, spacious and most importantly quiet. Breakfast at both restaurants were excellent and served 10 people efficiently. Loved the location. Would stay again."

Monastery Hotel

8/10 Good

"One of the issues my daughter and I would like to highlight is the breakfast. We would have preferred a cereal or other grain. The fruit option was rather limited and maybe a few berries could have been included. We would not have any objections to paying more for an optional meal aside from what is already offered."

Capital Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our stay at the Capital Inn. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were quite friendly and the location was good for us to access the highways. We ate at the restaurant both nights and found the service and food were both excellent. We were on the 5th floor and if you are a light sleeper you might ask to be facing the back as there is a bit of road noise if you are facing the street."
