"Breakfast was superb, cooked fresh to order and plenty of choice, amenities were clean and good selection of the gym, treatment for relaxation and swimming pool and hot tub with sauna and a steam room, used the gym but not others"

"Nice reception staff. Clean hotel. No food in evenings. Unless breakfast is included in your room rate, don't bother it's very poor I thought I had breakfast included. Turns out not. Cost £14 . Definitely not worth it. Hotel in general good Comfy bed. Good shower. Clean. Central. But breakfast is not worth paying for. "

"Lovely hotel as ever clean room, very friendly helpful staff , nothing is too much trouble. Swimming pool was great and jacuzzi was most invigorating, just what was needed first thing in the morning. Plenty of parking onsite , so on the whole a very pleasant 3 night stay. "

"The hotel is an old inn in Johnshaven, a fishing village at least 10 miles outside of Montrose, in Aberdeenshire not Angus. Lovely setting near the harbour. The family room had a double bed and two single beds in a separate section. Shower room was small but well maintained. A small heater kept the room warm which was good because the weather was terrible on the first day. The bar/ dining area was lovely, the staff were all super and the food was excellent. Seafood was a speciality although there was a wide choice of dishes. People obviously came from all round to eat there and there was a lively atmosphere. We would certainly go back."

"Enjoyed the stay. Room was very good. A little dated. Room service not so good. Never topped up coffee milk etc. sundries which you had to pay for were missing which could have lead to being charged for something we did not have. Had to remind reception twice of this. But would stop there again as overall experience was good "
