If you are willing to walk in the heat there is a shopping mall and the lake about 25minutes away. Otherwise it's a good 20- 45 min taxi ride to border town (depending on traffic)! The staff were awesome and went above and beyond to help with several non-standard requests. Only stayed one night and had to leave very early for the airport but they prepared a quite tasty breakfast box to go. The restaurant a couple of doors up has quite tasty food as well. All in all a wonderful place to stay, close to Shwedagon and Karaweik. "
