"I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Halifax! The most impressive part of my stay was how clean the room was. It would rank top 3 cleanest room I had ever stayed in a hotel! I’m very sensitive to smell and dust and I slept very well in my room. There is a small fridge and a microwave in the room. Ventilation was efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful - not just the receptionist but also other staff members you see in the hallway. Breakfast selection was limited but overall good quality. There is also a pancake maker and a toaster. Free coffee and hot water all day. Parking was easy and free. The location is close to gas station, Tim Hortons and highway which made our trip to other places convenient! A 10/10 experience!"

"Pluses: • Room and bathroom were clean • Good linens; comfortable mattress; pillows were good • Two luggage racks. I wish more hotels would do that. • Polite people at the desk • Very nice person at breakfast • A good breakfast • Real cream, not those horrible little packets that spurt all over when opened Minuses: • [Why my review is 4 stars instead of five] The shuttle situation to get to the hotel was mayhem. We were told to wait by a sign, but the sign did not specify HFX Airport Hotel. There was no sign that said “queue up here for HFX.” We were waiting there for a long time with a few other parties when a huge group of people of about 9 or 10 came up. I immediately went to the door to get in and save a place for my husband, but the others who had just arrived swarmed on. The van was filled to over-flowing with children sitting on parents’ laps. The shuttle is far too small for that size hotel, and it does not circulate often enough. At the very least, put up a sign that has the hotel’s name on it and says, “Queue starts HERE.” • Annoying post hangers instead of real ones. • Disposable cups and glasses instead of real ones • There should be more than one employee at the breakfast buffet; there’s too much for one person to handle."

"My husband and I like to visit casinos when travelling. I booked this gem through Trivago and received an absolutely amazing deal on the room. We were on first floor, the room was huge including bathroom. Amenities of robes, wine glasses and a selection Keurig coffees with actual mugs was a nice touch. The casino buffet was ok but we didnt have to drive anywhere so that made up for it. Their was a concert that night and you wouldnt have even known that. Casino payout was good which for us was nice. Doesnt always go that way. The casino is two minutes from Magnetic Hill! Highly recommend this place."

"Have you ever seen the movie Backrooms? Well, the Fredericton Inn is as close to that as I can imagine in real life. I left our room in the morning to go find coffee and I got totally lost and couldn't find the lobby. The hallways look the same and the area that looked like it might lead to the lobby just led to some confusing rooms full of chairs. I wandered around at 7am and didn't seen anyone which made it even more strange. Eventually I found a staircase that led up to another hallway that eventually led to the lobby. I should mention that the decor of this place is vintage like the 80s and 90s in full glory. So, there I was in the lobby and there are more hallways and doors to choose from. I could hear the restaurant so I went that way. I talked to the waitress who told me that she doesn't venture out too far from the cafe for fear for not finding her way back. Fun place. Highly recommend it."
