I’d say it was very convenient for a 2-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily. The check-in process was easy — I did it through a self-service machine and received my room key immediately. I was surprised at how close it was to Atami Station (a 5-minute walk) and right next to the car rental center where I dropped off my car. Since it’s quite close to the station, there are plenty of eateries around, and there’s also a Family Mart just across the street.

Overall a nice hotel, room was nice although odd choice for bare concrete parking garage ceiling. Having Alexa controls would have been nice but it only rarely worked even when using the prompts provided. We ended up just watching Netflix on my phone instead. The self check in thing was a bit annoying, I greatly would have preferred a person to do the check in. The free breakfast from the coffee shop was pretty bad, it's a very limited menu and is often gone if you don't get down there right away, it really was a downside and I would have been fine if it wasn't included

Prince Smart Inn Atami was perfect for a 2 night stop over by the sea during my Japanese holiday, i used the hotel for a seaside break on my way from Nagasaki to Tokyo. located conveniently for the bus/railway station and shopping. the rooms are stunning, very modern, comfortable and outfitted with all you need for a short stay. my only slight comment is if your tastes are western for breakfast, this may not be for you as the breakfast was traditional Japanese, with no western option (but that is a me problem, not a hotel problem), there is a 7-11 3 minutes walk away though. all in all, an amazing, modern, hotel conveniently located. book it; you won't be dissapointed.

Nice clean hotel, conveniently located near the station and the bus terminal. Lots of places to eat within a 5-10 min walk. Note you can’t store your bags at the hotel after checkout, even in the storage lockers - you can use the lockers at Atami station or one of the places across the road from the station.

A good choice near the train station

Great location, convenient to train station (about a 3 minute walk). My room overlooked the train tracks - I had initial concerns about noise, but my view of the shinkansen whizzing past every few minutes was incredible. I did wear earplugs at night to block out the sound of freight trains going past. Breakfast was a simple ochazuke and tea. I would stay here again if visiting Atami or needed to stay near the train station.

Great choice in Atami

Prince Smart Inn was well priced and has all the needed amenities. A quick walk from the train station and local area buses. Easy then to get around to attractions like the Ropeway. Clean room. Nice cafe. Pleasant staff. No view out the window but was quiet.

An OK stay but train noise and car parking.

It was an OK stay as it’s walkable from Atami Station. However, the night freight trains were numerous and can be heard from the rear rooms. Room does not have kettle, nor tea making facilities. And because I stayed 3 nights, I paid for additional parking for 3 nights but when I realised that I made a mistake because I only had the car for 2 nights…they did not want to refund when clearly I could show that I do not have the car for the third night.

Check-in process is automated via a kiosk. If you are arriving at the hotel earlier then your check-in time there are luggage lockers to store your baggage before you check-in. Breakfast is served in the mornings and is a small serving of ochazuke with a drink. Although they have instructions in english the process is still confusing. The room was spacious (for Japan). My only complaint is that the luggage lockers cannot be used when you are checking out.

駅から近く立地の良さもあり、綺麗でTULLY'S COFFEEがあるのも良く、朝食も美味しく快適に過ごすことが出来ました。 気になった点としては、ベッド周りのホコリやアメニティの部屋着が少し湿気の匂いなの若干気になりました。
