「The owner is very friendly and speaks perfect English. He arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and bring us to the hotel. The area in front of the hotel is beside the river. There was some construction happening on the the building that was a little inconvenient at the entrance, but the room was great! Cold air conditioning, comfortable beds ample sized room with beautiful view of the Nile and boats out the window.」

「This is a nubian ecolodge, so if you decide to go for it you must have very clear what does it mean: no fridge, no air conditioning but fans, a lot of walking, spartan rooms with no wifi etc. However, this is exactly what you would expect from a place like that. So it meets the expectations just brilliantly. The place is located on an island, right in front of the Philae temple. This gives a surreal, romantic and fantastic scenario. Really recommended. 「This hotel is heaven on earth! The staff is wonderful. The location has an amazing view. If you are looking gor an escape from crazy, busy tourist sites, this is it. Beautiful pool, gorgeous rooms, fantastic executive chef and staff. Everyone was so nice. Miss them all already. Kudos to all! Yes, like others have said, it's far from things. But honestly, not that far. The TukTuk ride up and down is very bumpy and shaky. I found it fun but others with health or physical issues will not manage...
