"Abuu and his staff provided world class, extraordinary service. All meals were excellent, rooms an oasis and spa service from Hilda and Zam Zam as good if not better than anywhere in the world. The workers made us feel like we were family and all knew our names after our 4 day stay. I could not recommend Planet Lodge any more. If you are stopping over or coming Sorry, I’m in a meeting from safari, do NOT miss this lodge. From the day we arrived and were greeted by Eva’s smiling reception staff we felt at home. "After camping in the Serengeti for 4-5 days, we need a clean and comfortable hotel room to re-pack and clean up. The rooms here are massive and the amenities, top notch. Having breakfast on the rooftop was also a plus. If I am ever back in Arusha - this will be where I stay! "

The location was convenient, the staff very friendly and helpful, the price was fair, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the setting was special having been a former sanctuary for game animals. Also, there was an onsite massage spa which was excellent."

"The views of Mt Meru and the surrounding bush country were magnificent. The grounds include banana, papaya, mango, pineapple and avocado plants/trees, all of which enhance the experience. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. All speak English. We loved the food so much my wife wanted to bring the chef home (joking of course, but high praise). The lodge staff were trained as part of a program to provide a good livelihood to local residents who otherwise would have limited opportunities. While the lodge is remote (not in Arusha city), it is close to Arusha National Park, and lodge staff will provide driving tours (for extra cost), which is well worth it."
