「We loved this hotel! The room was clean and spacious with a nice comfortable bed. Being on the fifth floor, we were very handy for the roof terrace. Breakfast and meals were plentiful and high quality. All staff were pleasant and very helpful. This hotel was aLao ideally situated for us too, right in the heart of everything and handy for the old town and all its shops and restaurants or equally handy for the beach! We will be booking to stay here again!」

「Good location. just 3 mins walk to Old Town. Parking fee around 14 Euro per night, reasonable. We stayed in Room with sea view, Room and Bathroom were large, comfortable stay! Breakfast buffet was great with various selection. We choose the seat at outdoor with tent covered. We enjoyed the seaview so much」

「I loved the location of the Old House - on a lovely plaza, music & food wafting through the windows, close to beach, nice spacious room. However, I stayed three nights and never saw a person from the hotel - checked myself in Friday at 4:30 and left Monday at 10 without ever seeing anyone at the front desk. No problem for me as I’m a very independent traveller, but if u need more service & staff support, something to consider.」

「I loved this place. Clean, good space and close to everything. They do not have a recepción however there WhatsApp is available 24 hours and they answer very quick at any time. I would stay here again.」

「Överlag är det ett jättefint hotell. Trevlig personal och jättefin pool. Men rummet var slitet och ouppdaterat. Tråkiga färger. Det kändes 80 tal. Det är en bäddsoffa man sover i. Den är inte skön. Jag hade mitt rum mot trafiken och det var svårt att få lugn och ro på kvällarna. Om jag skulle få byta så måste man betala. Men det finns bättre rum. Spa är en bastu. Det var det som var spa. Poolområdet är superfint. Men kan ändå rekommendera hotellet. Superbra läge med havet precis där. 」

「Heating insufficient and hotel did not answer my questions about that. Shower moldy and broken, we did not dare use it. Toilet unusable for a normal size person, the sink blocks you from sitting down (my wife was able to squeeze in diagonally). In general the room was in a state of disrepair and absolutely nothing like the pictures of the room we had booked. STAY AWAY」

「I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found...

「This property should not be considered as hotel, pictures that they put on the website is totally deceiving, we could not stay in the so called hotel, due to poor location and condition, we had to rent another hotel for our vacation! And we lost $260 that we paid for 2 nights! Just stay away from this location if you’re looking for a decent hotel!」
