「 It offers a comfortable bed in a nice room with a very good breakfast. I've certainly paid a lot more for much less in other leading chain hotels. A list of restaurants for the town was an unexpected bonus -- quite helpful. The staff was friendly too. I highly recommend the Wingate in Elkins.」

「This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. They were very welcoming, attentive to all of our needs and wants, offered satisfying breakfasts and were a pleasure to get to know. Thanks, Tammy and Dave!」

「This is a newly remodeled hotel. It was very nice and clean. My only complaint is I booked this specific hotel for the pool. When we checked in I asked where the pool was located and was told that the pool still isn't open yet from the renovations. I was very disappointed!」

「The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner.」

「I didn’t exactly like the advertised king bed that were actually two beds put together with a crack going down the middle. Very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. 」

「My room number was 105, 1st floor in Alleghany Springs. The dishwasher needed to be reattached to the wall, the 2 screws were clearly sitting on the counter above, but this was not repaired before our stay. Each time opened, the DW jarred forward, ugh! The room was clean, & adequate for the 4 of us, realizing that sofa beds are never the most comfortable. 」

「Loved the spacious room size and bathroom size! The pool was phenomenal! Great help at the front desk at the hotel on top of the mountain and bottom! It was a wonderful place to stay and economical for me and my son! We will be back sometime just not sure when. 」

「Condo and the property was very outdated. Beds were uncomfortable. There is a great coffee shop and restaurant/bar at the property so that was nice, but it closed early. The location was ideal for skiing - so for that reason only I would stay here again. 」
