"We have stayed here on previous trips to the island and this is one of my absolute favourite hotels, anywhere, comfortable in all respect’s, understated, unpretentious luxury. Also very close to all that Ponta Delgada has to offer, would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"Great breakfast, friendly knowledgeable staff. Beautiful room which was recently updated. Close to shops and the harbour for easy walking. Building is well maintained and very clean. Bar and restaurant on site is great if you don’t want to venture out. Have stayed here many times and will always come back. "

"Clean and comfortable room in a good location. Nice pillows and linens. The thin spring-style mattresses in the twin room seem due to be updated. The hotel itself was very quiet for a Saturday night however a building or car alarm in a nearby street sounded all night long. Odd that police or security could not have put an end to it for the benefit of guests in this hotel, the nearby hotel and really the entire neighbourhood. "
