Beautiful property but a little hard to find. Staff was excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. The unit was large, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend the property.

We liked the private hot tub, especially since the weather was too cold to swim. The room had a kitchenette, which we appreciated since there's no room service and it was 20 minute walk to town. A car is definitely needed for Sao Miguel. The room was cleaned very well, but people aren't very careful and we could see stains on the sofa even though the hotel is relatively new. There was a somewhat small smart TV in the room, but it worked well. Breakfast was basic but included with the reservation at no extra cost.

This is a beautiful stay in a very convenient location! Everything is close by and driving to the East side of the island is only an hour. Everything else is even closer! The front desk staff were all exceptional and helped us with directions, recommendations for restaurants and also suggestions on where to go. They were all very kind to us. We loved having a delicious breakfast on the property every morning. We also really enjoyed coming back after the day and having a glass of wine and dinner on the outdoor patio. We took advantage of the horses and booked a riding experience. The horses are very well trained and my daughter loved it. The owner João was wonderful and extremely kind to us throughout our stay. We can’t wait to return!

This hotel is a hidden gem. It’s about four minutes from the airport and very quiet. The staff were incredibly kind. The villa was spotless, and we slept like a dream. Breakfast was delivered to the villa and it was very good. We also went to see the horses, it was fun.

All WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND! The location, the breakfast, the villas, the staff all amazing! we stayed there for two weeks. Got to know the staff well. It all felt like family! We were pretty sad to leave. The island needs two weeks at to really do it all! We are big hikers. Romeu helped us a ton on where to find more remote trails etc .Andrea in the dining area was amazing too. They are a large group of very special people! I found the owner to be very friendly and available a lot too. Very open as well.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Premium Villa. Die große Sonnenterrasse mit viel Sonnenschein und eigenem Whirlpool haben uns sehr gefallen. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und war sauber. Das Frühstück bietet eine gute Auswahl. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die wirklich schlechte Kaffeemaschine von Nescafé. Diese sollte dringend gegen einen echten Vollautomaten ersetzt werden. Parkmöglichkeiten sind genügend vorhanden. Die Anbindung ist sehr gut, da das Hotel direkt hinter einer Schnellstraße liegt. Insgesamt hat uns das Hotel sehr gut gefallen und wir werden gerne wieder hierher kommen.

I can’t recommend this place enough. It is a stunning property with thoughtful design, services and amenities. After months of researching different properties we went with Lusitano and every day of our trip we spoke about how glad we were that we did. Located parallel to the highway and a short drive into the heart of the city (less than 10 mins) and a 5 minute drive to a large mall with a food court and grocery store, you can get anywhere you need to quickly while also feeling like you’re in a secluded oasis upon your return to the property. The staff at this place are incredible. Kind, personable and professional. They helped us countless times- sending me Google Maps directions to specific places, making reservations on my behalf when I was facing a language barrier, speaking to my Uber driver who got lost delivering groceries, offering their available beach towels when we mentioned we were headed to the beach that afternoon, the list goes on and on. We were travelling as a large group with two rambunctious toddlers and we were never made to feel anything but welcome. The property is gorgeous with “spa vibes”, and waking up to horses was an added bonus. The included breakfast covered basic offerings and was always fresh and welcome. Beautiful modern rooms with large closets, large bathrooms. kitchenette that had a glass stove burner, microwave, fridge and basics such as plates, cutlery etc. The list goes on and on. Just book it. You won’t regret it.

Un séjour parfait

Une expérience parfaite de A à Z au sein de l’établissement Lusitano. Un accueil très chaleureux, avec une mention toute particulière pour Romeu T. pour son incroyable gentillesse et ses conseils. Le petit déjeuner était de qualité avec des produits variés et locaux, la chambre très confortable avec un équipement idéal pour pouvoir manger sur place au besoin. Et pour les amoureux de chevaux, ce grand plus d’avoir un centre équestre au sein de l’établissement dont notre enfant a pu profiter et recevoir une initiation à l’équitation :) enfin la localisation très idéale pour sillonner depuis Ponta Delgada et ensuite reprendre l’avion (5 min de l’aéroport)

Beautiful property, lovely accommodations and staff. Breakfast was outstanding. The only complaint was that they tried to charge us for missing towels days after checkout that we did NOT take. Upon check out, we were flying to Barcelona and then taking a cruise from there after so there was certainly no need for us to take anything from the resort (nor could we fit it in our luggage with all we had packed).

We had a really amazing holiday at this hotel. I consider myself quite a fussy traveller but this property has checked all my preferences - clean - good location - good facilities - not many rooms - special atmosphere. I would really recommend anyone choosing this property to also try the horse riding experiences. The staff is doing a really good job and every bit of the facility just tells you that the owner is taking the hotel and the stables seriously. Well done! I hope to be back next year again
