The entire team at Markus were fantastic, very supportive and accommodating to all needs. The Markus is centrally located, close to the train station and easy to get around. If our travels take us back through Angers we'll be looking to book here again.

From the moment we walked in the staff was super friendly and helpful. They spoke enough English to make us feel comfortable and seemed genuinely glad that we were there. Room was perfect (like new) with a view of the Main Street. The cafe was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a hot beverage. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely personal setvice

Lovely hotel with great access to all transport requirements. Flat walk from station or you can get tram to front door almost. The room was beautiful and breakfast was made to order. Great service and very friendly staff made our stay for 2 nights, very enjoyable.

Nice room with very modern decor. Easy to find and well located to see the city. Only very minor gripe was a 16.00 check in, but that was made clear when we booked so it was easy to work around.

Good location, close to restaurants

The hotel location is good, I’m walking distance to the train station and the city center. Lots of restaurants around. The lobby was getting painted at the time we arrived, making the access difficult. Room was clean and spacious; but did not have any fridge or tea making facility, which was a letdown for us.

Markus, formerly known as 21 Foch, just opened. It is a lovely 14-bedroom, boutique hotel. A coffee shop and beautiful outdoor space is slated for completion by September 2025, but guests may partake of breakfast onsite before then. The hotel is close to the train station, and centrally located to attractions, shops, and restaurants. Despite proximity to the city landscape, the facility is quiet and peaceful. My room and the common areas were meticulously clean. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the towels are thick, and amenities such as coffee, tea, and water are readily available. I would return here again and again!

A wonderful boutique hotel with just 14 rooms over 3 floors. Breakfast at 16€ was worth every penny. Croissants, pain au chocolates, baguettes, with fresh orange juice, cremate (a local specialty) fruit salad, charcuterie and local cheese. Room was spacious with high quality linen and a modern bathroom. Glazed windows with no sound transfer from the street.

I loved the chill vibe, modern upbeat design, and quiet classiness of the hotel. The location was central to visit the best of Angers by foot. I was disappointed that I could not understand french well enough to know that breakfast was sit down only. Even thought there were some guests in the room there was no sign of staff or coffee so I didn’t stay. One must learn patience in french restaurants.
