We had a great two night stay here. Staff are so helpful and the location is really central for shopping and the nicer areas of Amsterdam - Jordaan etc. I would stay here again!

Great location. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. No elevator, so carrying luggage up/down those tight stairs was a bit of a challenge.

Hotel is in a great location, we walked everywhere from here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the small side but that’s to be expected in such a beautiful old building.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Max Brown Hotel. The location was fantastic and made it easy to explore Amsterdam, and the charming canal setting gave us a true Amsterdam experience. The hotel is cute, comfortable, and full of character, and the staff were very nice, welcoming, and helpful. The stairs are typical of Amsterdam’s older, historic buildings, so they can be challenging if you have mobility issues or large luggage. That’s really the only thing to be aware of. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the Max Brown for its great location, charming atmosphere, and friendly staff.

LOVEEED this hotel- location was fantastic, the boutique charm, overall decor and staff was great. I had a medium sized room that was the perfect size for me. They had bikes you can rent, was walking distance to the train station, was super close to a lot of amazing shops, bakeries, and restaurants. Could not rave about this place. Would absolutely go back and stay again

Very cute, great vibe! Very friendly and helpful front desk staff(front desk is the bar!) Our only complaint was the paper thin walls. We could hear the people next to us talking as if they were almost in our room! Bathroom and bedroom were cozy (tiny) but we loved it!

Great staff and very helpful. Be aware this hotel has no elevator, the steps are very narrow and steep. If not in best health or fitness level, request room on lowest floor. We changed our room from 3rd to 1st. We only had carry on luggage and hard to carry upstairs. Breakfast is truly continental small selection but good.

This hotel was in a good location on a canal. A staff member gave us good recommendations on restaurants and they were friendly. Most of the people staying at the hotel were in their 20's, so it was affordable for younger folks. The room was dark and dusty. If you want sleep, this is not the place for you. The walls are thin and we heard people clomping up and down the steps all night. Frequently, there was a gaggle of smokers at the front door smoking.

This hotel has such a unique vibe! I loved the lobby and little outdoor patio on the second floor. The location is fantastic, right in front of a canal and within walking distance to many restaurants. The staff is stellar and so helpful. They treated us with warmth and cheer... even offered a welcome drink to beat the crazy heat this week!! They helped us book tours and get the most out of our short stay.

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación, el personal es muy amable, pero la habitación que me asignaron parecía más una bodega adaptada de habitaciones, pues ni siquiera tenia ventanas, Salvo ese detalle todo estuvo excelente.

We have stayed at Max Brown in Amsterdam a few times. It’s our first choice. Location is perfect. Walking distance from Centraal and close to main sites. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Only suggestions are to perhaps have a couple of wall hangers in room or bathroom and coffee in the room. Highly recommend!!!

This is a fabulous property. It’s a hotel made from old Amsterdam houses. It has quite a bit of character and charm. There’s no elevator though so you will be walking up some rather steep flights of stairs.
