Good value, good location, just generally good.

On a quiet side-street, yet close to the Rijksmuseum, it's a small friendly hotel with helpful staff and reasonable prices. Recommended highly.

The hotel's location is on a quiet street, but walking distance from central Amsterdam. Good transport links to/from the airport, as a bus goes direct. On arrival, the woman at reception was friendly & helpful. The room was clean & tidy, the shower in en suite bathroom was easy to use (not always the case). Small TV in the room which had BBC1, which is good for UK visitors. I didn't have breakfast at hotel so can't comment on that, but everything else was fine. I'd recommend this place to visitors.

Basic comfort / location / price winner !!

A pleasant hotel in a great location a quiet street off the main arteries, yet close to museums, Vondel Park, and the tourist - trodden Leideseplan area.The rooms are not elaborate but all was in good working condition with plenty of hot water, well functioning shower/ tub, etc. Hotel staff was pleasant, and helpful with our needs. We booked this at the last-minute, and it was half the price of the typical fancier hotels Americans favor. We did not take breakfast here as our group was early-risers and anxious to explore the wealth of dining in the city. I would plan to stay here again.

Le personnel de l' hotel etait tres accueillant. La chambre que nous avions etait au derniere etage ( avec de escalier tres escarpes!. Petite et absolument adorable avec une jolie vue. L'hote etait aussi tres proches des musees et des tram menant a la gare Grand Merci pour un sejour tres agreable

Good hotel in an excellent position

I stayed there for 3 nights with my family (2 kids). The room was really great, clean with a lot of space and full of light. The staff was very kind anf helpful. Position is exceptional, so close to museums and oni of the most lively squares in Amsterdam. Just a few steps from the most beautiful park (Vondel Park) in the city and from the dock of canal cruises. Recommended.

Sehr kleines, beengtes Zimmer. Für unsere Zwecke - Aufenthalt größtenteils nur zum Schlafen- aber vollkommen ausreichend.

Mooie plek, gedateerd hotel.

Oud pand wat nodig aan renoveren toe is. De douche had een mooie straal maar met een slechte slang. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar goed verzorgd.

Small room but convenient and affordable

The room is indeed small, just enough to get around, clean enough. The shower's temperature is somewhat unstable, but good enough to wash and warm yourself.Elavator is small but works good enough. Bed is comfortable. The location is good, with close access to many tram&bus lines including direct bus access to the airport, and restaurants in walking distance. Bicycle rental is available at the hotel. And overall, the price is good enough. Recommended for those who wish to save money but do not wish a bad service or location.

Museumsnahe Lage

Das Hotel ist okay, Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sehr teuer (Empfehlung: park and ride). Frühstück kann am Vorabend gebucht werden. Park and ride ist kompliziert, man muss an den Automaten Tickets für Tram/Bus erwerben, diese beim Ein- und Aussteigen in die Bahn an den Lese-Automaten halten und beim Bezahlen der Parkkarte wieder einlesen lassen, dann wird es preiswerter. Ein Zimmer (Nr. 40) ist zur Straße hin und etwas laut.Fast gegenüber (Hausnummern 20-30) sind hübsche Häuser verschiedener Europäischer Stile, die man sich ansehen sollte.

Sehr klein aber gemütlich im 4. Stock, schöne Aussicht. Lage ideal für ein Wochenendtrip für die City. Fahrstuhl und Treppe abenteuerlich. Sehr nettes Personal,Das Hotel liegt in der Straße, wo die 7 Länderhäuser von Europa stehen.. Parken mit Auto unbedingt mit P R (z.B. beim Olympiastadium). Amsterdam hat uns super gefallen, sehr lebendig und jung. Eine Mischung aus Venidig und Rom bei Nacht.

clean conveniently located small hotel

Very nice, clean, small hotel. Not a lot of amenities, but just few blocks from the center of the tow, less than 5 minutes from museum plaza and main shopping street. Very good bath tub - important if you are coming from Africa :-). Staff is friendly and very helpful. If you use the room to sleep and spend most time on the town this hotel is an excellent option.

Mukava pikkuhotelli Leidsepleinin lähellä

Otimme tarkoituksella pienen huoneen hotellista hyvällä sijainnilla. Hotelli vastasi odotuksiamme, paitsi että parivuoteen sijaan saimme yksittäiset sängyt. Saimme tästä kuitenkin tiedon jo hyvissä ajoin sähköpostilla ennen lomaamme, ja menimme hotelliin siitä huolimatta. Sijainti oli rentoon kiertelyyn optimaalinen, aamupala ei ihmeellinen mutta käypä, työntekijät kohteliaita. 5 päivän yöpymisemme aikana huoneemme olisi voinut siivota hieman paremmin (esim pyyhkeiden vaihto, vessapaperin lisääminen), mutta siisteystaso oli silti keskiarvoltaan hyvä. Kokonaisuutena hyvä paikka yöpyä, jos ei aio hotellissa viettää aikaa kellon ympäri!

Niet meer dan ok hotel en echt geen 3 sterren. Wel schoon maar oud...vloerbedekking, meubels. Badcel is beter woord dan badkamer. Erg aardig personeel.

Utmärkt läge

Trevlig och serviceinriktad personal. Trevligt med hotellkatt. Lite skral frukost för 11 Euro. Gångavstånd till det mesta i centrum. Tyst och lugnt område. Branta trappor, men det finns hiss. Välstädat varje dag.

Great location & friendly staff

Lovely little hotel very close to Leidesplein (for airport buses) & next to the beautiful Vondelpark. Over a 2 1/2 day stay we only saw one member of staff more than once but they were all helpful & nice. We arrived early & our room wasn't yet ready, but we sat in the delightful little garden at the back for a while; & again on the last day, when we returned hot & tired before leaving for the airport (glasses of water & phone charging kindly provided). Our medium-sized top floor back room was small for 2 people. Very clean & comfortable, but extremely hot with windows facing SE & SW - lovely in the winter I'm sure, but a bit much in a July heatwave. We did get a fan though (had to ask for it, someone else must have borrowed it previously). The teeny tiny lift is indeed the slowest in the world but preferable IMO to the precipitous narrow winding staircase (I banged my knee twice on the banister!). Breakfast good & plentiful - cold meats, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, 3 kinds of bread, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, tea & coffee.
