⭐️ Hotel De Looier – Honest Review (Amsterdam) I stayed at Hotel De Looier in Amsterdam and here’s my honest take. The location is definitely the highlight — tucked in a quiet street in the Jordaan area, it’s walking distance to shops, cafés, and the canal views we all love. It’s easy to get around and perfect for a solo traveler who likes to wander with no set itinerary. The room itself was simple, clean, and cozy, but definitely on the smaller side (typical for Amsterdam). If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it — but if you want somewhere safe, central, and convenient, it gets the job done. The staff was friendly and check-in was fast. A few things to know: the walls are a bit thin, so you may hear hallway noise. Also, the building is older, so expect Amsterdam charm, not modern upgrades. Overall, a solid budget-friendly stay in an excellent neighborhood. I’d stay again for the location alone. Great for solo travelers who want comfort, walkability, and a cozy home base between exploring.

We stayed for 4 nights. Location was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants and boutique shops. Room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable, staff was extremely helpful, especially David. We had originally booked for two nights, but extended our stay for two more with David’s help.

There was very easy access to the hotel from Schiphol airport using bus 937 that had a stop very close to the hotel. The hotel staff was at all times welcoming and cordial during our stay. We arrived during the early morning, and our luggage was stored until check in time. Our room was comfortable and impeccably clean. The breakfast room was also welcoming, and the breakfast offered a variety of options. The hotel boasts an overall cozy atmosphere, and the location in the Jordaan district is fabulous.

I had a very pleasant stay at this 3-star hotel. The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring the city. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was in good condition, clean, and comfortably furnished. The breakfast exceeded my expectations with its delicious and varied selection. The room service was also more than satisfactory and contributed to an overall positive experience. I would gladly stay here again.

Don’t be put off by the exterior of this hotel. Once inside it’s lovely. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful if they tried. Our TV wasn’t working so we were offered another room immediately. The concierge was great with guidance as to where to spend our money (he warned us of the dodgy shops and areas where they charge more) We want to go back and would happily stay here again. 😁

This is a small boutique hotel near the center city. The rooms are small but big enough that two people are fine. The hotel urned out to be conveniently located and we could walk everywhere we needed to. There are no telephones in the rooms, so that could be a concern. Breakfast is a continental breakfast for an additional 12 euros p/p. Would stay again.

The mattress was the worst I have ever had in a hotel room. Its a simple as that. I have travelled extensively and this mattress was lumpy and sagged to the middle. There are other smaller issues but for the place you plan to sleep, a good sleep is everything.

The only issue I had was that the bathroom was in bad condition, it wasn’t cleaned very well, but I have to mention that I booked the hotel at 10pm so they might not have had the time to clean it well.
