Wonderful and very friendly hotel staff, We can say everything was excellent!! room and breakfast!! The hotel is in a good location with a lot of things to do.
We would definitely recommend this hotel
Good range at breakfast
Coffee machine available all the time and nice area to sit near reception
Excellent location for Anne Frank House, canals, and indeed most of the city centre.
We walked easily to and from Centraal Station.
Friendly helpful staff
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. No lift, so think about how 72 steps at a 45 degree angle feels like carrying luggage. Small ship cabin size room and bathroom but was clean, charming and adequate. Very good hospitality. I would stay again, but might not be for everyone. Seniors would not make it! Very nice lounge with balcony for coffee and breakfast. Close to everything
Very clean room and common areas, friendly staff and two resident cats at Hotel Clemens. Excellent included breakfast buffet. Good central location a little further away from the most touristy area of central Amsterdam but still walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal rail station, 2 minutes to Royal Palace and 5-7 minutes to Anne Frank House. Rooms are compact but complete. The sole challenge for those who are less mobile is the lack of an elevator and steep stairs up to the reception area and rooms in this Victorian era property.
Wonderful breakfast. Staff was great. They’ll carry your luggage up and down the stairs (thank goodness, the stairs are more ladder-like). I would given the hotel overall five stars except for the city’s construction on the street below
This quant beautiful hotel was a great choice in Amsterdam. Close to so many attractions. The staff were very kind and helpful. The entire place and rooms were very clean and nicely apportioned. The breakfast was an excellent way to start each day. Highly recommend!
Staff were very helpful we arrived very early, booking through Expedia they said they actually have no rooms left but promised to accommodate us, they allowed us to drop off our bags with them and let us have breakfast (cold meats, fruit, eggs, pastries) that morning as well. Hotel from the outside doesn’t look great but it’s central Amsterdam but its close to everything that you go to Dam Square for, the inside of the hotel is modern with a nice seating area for breakfast and the rooms are there to sleep and shower. There are about 30 STEEP steps to get to the hotel as it’s above a shop. Room was clean and shower was decent. I would recommend. Also no bed bugs which a lot of people have been saying they are finding in their Amsterdam accommodation!
Friendly staff, breakfast was great and had a nice variety. It was walkable to many areas within the city center.

Liked: Staff & service
Friendly, very helpful staff made the stay enjoyable, and the location is excellent. The room was small but clean and the bed comfortable, with great daily housekeeping. Be aware of steep stairs (not ideal for mobility issues), and allow extra time at check-out since you may need to return the key at a partner hotel. Breakfast was a great addition to get the day started.
Location Location Location!!
The key to this accomodation is Bob, Bob is a legend!
Breakfast was fine, you get what you need to eat as you are at home!
Room was small but fine and bed was super comfortable.
All around Amsterdam it’s stairs so get used to it.
Oh and they have cats, I am severely allergic and ended up with a puffy face/lips and have a sore on my lips now but would still stay again. Had a great time
I loved my stay at Hotel Clemens. The location is as good as it good. Just steps from the canals and the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood, and easy access to the Tram and Dam Square. The staff is kind and helpful and the breakfast is quite good. The hotel itself is inside a charming canal house with steep narrow stairs. The rooms are small but nice, and the lounge area is quite nice with a good view to the outside.
It was wonderful, the staff was amazing, the location was great. Highly recommend the Clements

Room was very clean and functional - with added character with the mural on the wall. The staff were absolutely lovely - so friendly and helpful. Excellent location too
Great staff, lovely hotel cat, decked out for Christmas, cozy rooms, and a good breakfast. Only hiccup are the intense stairs upon entering; fine for a younger traveler but would be a challenge for some. Would stay here again!
