Beautiful place, that is central to everything in Amsterdam. Great happy hour meeting room to visit with other travelers. Get ready for steep stairs if your past the 2nd floor. But once you're up there, there is a gorgeous view of the canal.

Nice room. Breakfast was abrealfast basket that you could eat in small dining area or take to your room. They accommodated my dietary requirements as i’d informed them in advance which i was grateful for. Would be nice if there was some variety in the breakfast rather than the same every day. No daily room cleaning service, you have to request from the desk if you want any services like new towels etc which was easy enough to do. Excellent location for sights

The room was clean and the staff is great however the stairs are a problem. This is a small hotel but is clean and comfortable. I think the person that cleaned the trash cans forgot to clean ours. Not a big deal. This hotel is definitely not for the elderly or for people traveling with a big luggage. The stairs are too steep and narrow.

Great location and very friendly staff. Room was nice and spacious. The steep stairs and lack of an elevator were a slight downside, but the main reason for giving only 3 stars was the cleanliness. The room floors were quite dirty (very noticeable when walking around in white socks), there were dust balls under the bed and heaters, and even some trash in the heater vents. Housekeeping is provided once every 3 nights. We understood that, as part of the hotel’s environmental policy, guests could request cleaning daily. However, at this price point, we feel that daily housekeeping should be standard rather than something guests have to specifically request. Overall, we really liked the location and the staff, but the standard of cleanliness and housekeeping did not match what we expected for the price.

The challenge of the property were the classic Dutch staircase. Very steep and somewhat dangerous with heavy luggage. Otherwise the room was terrific, clean and we were pleased. Would stay again.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes, charmantes Zimmer und als Überraschung sogar ein kleiner eigener Innenhof (Direktzugang). Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Happy Hour vom Handling sehr unkompliziert - es hat uns sehr gefallen. Lediglich der Hoteleingang ist dezent und leicht zu übersehen.
