"We did not try the breakfast, both days we were there. The AC was extremely cool. Room was clean and comfortable. Cleanliness was really good. The outside of the property is a little underwhelming, b but was not dirty or anything like that. Just looks like it's a little outdated. I think the nightly price is a little high for what it is but other than that I have no issue with it"

"We like staying at the Lodge at Flat Rock. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly and personable. My only suggestion for improvement would be to the breakfast bar. The food items are basic. I would suggest the addition of fresh fruit ie. bananas & apples. Maybe a waffle maker and grits. "

"I visited in the off season, but the hotel is lovely. If you're used to staying in the cookie cutter hotels that all look the same, this hotel will surprise you. It's all furnished with antiques. There's so much charm and personality here. It's delightful! Don't hesitate to come here thinking the hurricane has everything closed. Lake Lure is very near "full pool" now. The town is open for business and could use your support. The staff helped me out with tips on local events and attractions. Go to Lake Lure! Stay at the Inn!"

"Well there are NOT 3 Hot tubs at this resort as advertised. There is ONE. It is small and attached to an indoor pool, full of children, and closes at 8pm. Also there is a 7$ per day fee to use it and this must be paid at the time of check-in. There isn't an option to pay for using the hot tub or amenities pass for just part of the stay. It's all or none. I ended up paying 70$ for 3 of us for 4 days and only used the hot tub for about 1 hr the day that we arrived. I inquired about a partial refund but was told by the resort to ask the place where you check in (which is about a 5-10 min drive away) and was told by the check in peope to ask the resort. #TheRunAround I just gave up. What a waste of money that was. 😑 Other thank that the room was pretty clean. The place is a bit dated. The TVs are old and only use local cable without Internet or sharing/casting capabilities. The nearest stores are a good 20 min drive. We did have a good time tho, overall. And the jacuzzi bathtub in the room kinda made up for the hot tub issue.... But I wish I would have known that there was only one hot tub on site and about the hours and fees before booking as that was my gf primary request. Idk that I'd stay at this place again, but if so, I would definitely plan my trip differently knowing what I know now. Hope this helps someone else.."
