A must visit location

Lovely hotel in a great location by the lagoon. The staff were very welcoming and the junior suite was very nice. We had an issue with the heating not working very well but other than that our stay was excellent. The hotel restaurant, La Boca, is definitely recommended.

Lovely hotel.

Fabulous location right on the edge of the marsh. Very comfy bed with premium bedding. Excellent front of house staff. Breakfast should have eggs included for the price.

A gem of a hotel

The stay in Malavasia was exceptional. Every room and every detail was a delight. The decor was gorgeous and the little touches in the rooms made us smile. The outside areas were beautifully appointed and arranged. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in El Rocio.

Honestly could not have asked for more. The service in the hotel was perfect- friendly and helpful.Professionals doing their job very well. We actually unusually,chose a suite- worked so well for us mid- trip with loads of complications- wonderful space to relax. Loved the pool and the situation. Was no problem to them that we had booked breakfast then the time of our pre- booked wildlife tour changed so they bagged it up for us. Ate in the restaurant the first night because we were tired and didn’t want the hassle of finding somewhere else- ate there the second night because we had enjoyed the first so much.

We are birdwatchers and booked a double room. The room overlooks a marsh filled with flamingos, ducks, geese etc. They put a spotting scope in my room - perfect! We didn’t know anything about the history and traditions of El Rocio but learned quickly. It’s like a mix of nature, bourses, the Wild West, church and brotherhoods. Incredible 2 nights. The hotel was perfect for us, beautiful.

The staff was friendly and helpful . The property was beautiful and clean with old world charm . The food at the restaurant was delicious . Francisco at the front desk went above and beyond to help me . I got a flat tire an hour away from the hotel. He called Frank , a taxi driver who took such good care of me . I do not speak Spanish and Frank stayed with me until Roadside assistance arrived and then drove me to Seville to get a new rental . This place is very special . If you ever get the chance to spend a few days , I highly recommend Hotel La Malvasía and take a tour of Donana National Park .

Everything was impeccable, the room was gorgeous and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive to every detail, from the minute we stepped in until we checked out. They helped us with our plans for visiting the park and exploring town. The food was delicious! We especially loved sitting on the porch watching the sunset. A perfect stay in a pristine and unique location!

El Rocio is a weird town. It looks and feels like the wild west. It's like being in a Cowboy film set. The town is extremely busy at the weekend and extremely quiet during the week. It's the ideal location to visit Donana National Park. The Hotel La Malvasia is upmarket and ideally placed on the lakefront. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Something Different.

Beautiful hotel with efficient and friendly staff who made our stay perfect. Large bedroom with a lovely bathroom. Aperitif on the terrace before a delicious dinner is a must to take in the views of flamingos, wild horses and deer which only El Rocio can offer! If you’re looking for something different this is a great place to relax.

It was a lovely stay. The dining options at this hotel were so much appreciated as everything else in El Rocio seemed to be always shut. A beautiful location close to all the birds on the lagoon.

Traditionally styled hotel with modern facilities

The hotel is right next to the lagoon and we stayed in the Annex, which is right next door and has a fine courtyard. The restaurant cooking is quite ordinary, really, and the service, whilst friendly, was somewhat inattentive.

A bit hard to find but very nice. There is an older building and a newer one adjacent that I stayed in (though it is styled to match the old one and has a lovely small courtyard). Surprisingly, there was no coffee maker or hot water maker, which is my only complaint. Hotel faces the lagoon which is great for a stroll on the boardwalk. I would stay here again.
