"The couple who own this inn are incredibly sweet and hospitable. I also had one of the most delicious bites of food I've ever had in my life - order the hida beef skewer with the rice and pickles. Also private onsen was the perfect thing after lots of walking in the cold."
"This family-run guesthouse is a good half-hour walk from the train station, although there are buses every hour from 9:00 to 18:00 (6:00pm) that stop at the bottom of the hill. The establishment can sometimes pick you up or drop you off. "What a great little hotel! It's a little off the main street, so it's quiet and peaceful, but cross the main road, and you'll be right in the heart of the action in Takayama with restaurants, bars, and shops. Parking is quick and easily accessible as well. The hotel is well-appointed and clean, the staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and they provided great tips. Highly recommended!"
"Our best hotel so far. Everything met my needs and the breakfast was tasty, and a great machine for beverages. Bath was nice and bed was decent for us and my pregnant wife. The traditional sweets place across the road, for small treats and mochi was worth it! Very happy."
"This hotel was truly something special! Spotlessly clean, great friendly service, free sake and beer in the evenings, and a very tasty breakfast too. Location in Takayama’s old town couldn’t have been better. A real highlight of my trip so far"
