"The bed was super comfortable and the refurbished bar and restaurant were excellent. The only downside was that the lift wasn’t working due to a new one being installed. It’s the second time that we’ve stayed in this hotel and it certainly won’t be the last "

"We stayed for one night to attend a concert nearby. I'd booked a while ago and was a little dubious reading some of the recent reviews. The hotel has a great location and is as you'd expect a Victorian seaside hotel to be, a little dated but that's part of the charm. The hotel boasts commanding views over the bay and close to the castle. We had 2 rooms booked, both were spacious, clean and seemed to have new furniture. The staff were lovely. There's minimal parking, but we managed to park nearby. Overall the hotel was ideal."
