「What an absolutely remarkable place! It genuinely feels as though a beautiful piece of historic Italy has been transported into this Chicago neighborhood. The architecture, thoughtfully selected ornate decor, warmth, and attention to detail create an atmosphere that is both elegant and incredibly welcoming. This is not simply a place to stay. It is an experience.
And then there is Gina! Her hospitality is in a class of its own. From preparing a wonderful breakfast to serving homemade banana...

And the self-serve breakfast provided nice individual portions of yogurt and bags of nuts, but on neither morning was coffee available (happily there are places only blocks away to buy some).
Plus, charging extra for checking in 1-3-hours earlier than the 4pm check-in seems a...

「Great location for a night. This particular room had an external bathroom, but was private to us. We just had to walk through a hallway to get to it. We did not encounter any problems or other guests. We parked in The Vic public parking structure down a couple of blocks - it was $23 to park for the night: We would definitely stay here again.」

「The regular elevator was not working and needed to rely on staff to use the service elevator. Although I understand they were doing maintenance on the elevator, it was frustrating based on the extremely high rate of the stay because of the marathon.」
