「Lovely hotel, amazing views, manicured gardens, excellent staff, (Carmen, Martina, Connie, Gaetano, Valentina, Laura, Roberta to mention but a few) good spa. However, there were 2 major issues which were not in keeping with a 5* at this price point: 1) there is a huge unattached manhole on the road in front of the hotel which makes a racket every time a car drives over it and keeps you up at night through the night; 2) a horrible drain stench from the toilet / bidet in the rooms. 「This iconic hotel in Capri is the best. A lot of people like the Quisisana but to me there is no comparison. The Punta Tragara is located just a beautiful walk outside of the main plaza so you don’t get the day tripper noise and foot traffic. The staff is thoughtful, courteous, and all speak great English (sadly I don’t speak Italian!) The two swimming pools, photographed by Slim Aarons back in the day, are beautiful.
