"This was our second time staying here and it was good overall. The only complaint was this time we got the room facing the street on the third level and it was VERY noisy as we can hear all the cars outside. Requested to move rooms but they only had one on the 11th floor still facing the street. It was better but wish they had availability for one facing the back like the first time we stayed there. Other than that, everything was good for the price and location."

"The hotel property is very run down. Our first room smelled like cigarettes upon entry. We asked for another room and this second room smelled a lot better but was still not great. The cleaning staff had left a used cleaning glove on the floor. The floors were also not very clean. Overall would not return. Property also charges $40 a night for parking onsite. Pros: Location is great and walkable to old town."

"The building is beautiful and remodeled with lots of interesting touches. However, this hotel is by no means family friendly. I was traveling with my 12 year old son. The lobby isn’t really a lobby but a neighboring restaurant that may or may not be open at advertised times. The pool is part of a rooftop bar that ‘allows’ hotel guests under 21 only from noon to 7. And it’s packed with non-guests there to party. If you’re looking for a no frills spot in a central (if noisy) part of downtown, this might be a good fit. If I had understood their business plan better, I would not have stayed here for a family trip."

"From the website images, we thought it was too small for us. However, we managed and felt it was a great experience. Everything in the room is well designed and enjoyed the cleanness, technology comfort and convenience. The ground floor amenities are so good for everyone especially drinks. I have asked multiple times of getting hot water and every time I felt welcome by the staff. Citizens M is a very well managed hotel that makes the guests comfortable. Will stay here again if we visit L A later."
