"This is a beautiful property with about six restaurants in it. We very much enjoyed our stay at Santarena. A few drawbacks were that since the hotel is kind of secluded, we did not have many options for shopping, and the restaurants were quite over priced. "

Agustin helped us greatly when our shuttle out of Tamarindo canceled 5 hours before and managed to find an alternative for us! Overall, very easy to walk anywhere in town from Refugio. Expect some noise at night but they offer earplugs and truthfully it never was bad enough to need them"
