Hatenohama 4 Stars Hotels

"We came to this hotel and this beach because it is known for sea turtles. My wife and I took turns snorkeling in the bay directly from the beach. We did not do a boat tour and talk to anyone about their location. On the second day while I was snorkeling in 5 feet of water approximately 30 feet from the beach I saw the first turtle eating off the ocean floor. I was startled to see it so close and was in awe of how beautiful it was. I assume the turtles are used to seeing snorkeling humans...

"Great stay at Kerama Beach Hotel, the team there were amazing and looked after our every need. The hotel is situated away from the main town but we were able to use the hotel shuttle bus any time we needed. The food was varied and really excellent. Not a lot happening in and around the hotel but that suited us fine and the surrounding area is great for walking & snorkelling. All in all a lovely stay!"

"I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unfortunately we couldn’t make our stay due to a typhoon as all of the ferries were cancelled for that week, only known to us when we arrived in Okinawa. Not only did the owner not refund us but we could only communicate through Expedia themself as the owner didn’t answer any of our messages."

"Yuumi and her team were so lovely and made us feel so welcome in Aka! They picked us up from the port even though it was a short way which was so helpful with our luggage. Hosei is right on the beach front and you can see the best sunset from here as well as relax in the day. It is so tranquil! "Literally 3 mins walk to Ama beach. A couple of cafes close by for snacks and lunch. The local bus departs from a few minutes away and takes you to Zamami port. English speaking staff explain everything you need. Its a 15 minutes walk to Zamami village area."

"Friendly stuff and great location.Beautiful beaches are in walking distance. One closest is only a minute away by flipflap walk. We enjoyed snorkeling there on the first day arrived. The water was amazingly clear and there were full of colorful fish. We even saw a turtle swimming by. If you are interested in tasting a bit of island life and enjoying scuba diving/snorkeling, staying Seasir Akajima is recommended. "
