Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"First time to stay at Hyatt Regency. I booked one room through Orbitz and the other through Hyatt. I got a way better deal straight with Hyatt. Wish I had checked before going with Orbitz. The hotel was right across the street from the beach. I was a bit worried about that at first bcoz we have always stayed right on the beach the 9 other times we’ve been to Hawaii. Surprisingly this was not bad being across. It’s more labor intensive since u have to carry those beach chairs that u get from the 3rd floor pool. Hours to get them are 730am to 8pm. So we were first to get them at 730am and last to return at 8pm. They run out pretty fast. By 9am they’re all gone. But beach towels kiosk dispensers are by the pool and by the exit and they’re pretty full. They do give a daily complimentary pineapple ice cream that u can ask the pool attendant when checking out the chairs. Check in was easy and fast. Although I had issues about this after we checked out with billing, but was hopefully resolved. I’ll know when I get the email. The rooms were super spacious! The room was a bit outdated but we Love love loved the ocean view! We were on the 18th floor and the views were spectacular! They give complimentary slippers for guests as well as refillable water bottles that we used religiously. Rented surfboards from Moku across the street and grabbed spam musube at the Musube cafe across the street as a daily thing we did. Lots of shops in the hotel. Great location! Would stay here again! 🌺"

"Checking in was a long wait, extra long, and yes, I understand it was summer time, but the front desk staff took their time explains the activities, amenities and didn’t really say anything to the guests in line. As for the our room, it was upgraded (VIP Expedia customer) it was great, so was the gym, it was a big gym and the equipment was pretty up to date, my grandkids loved the pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, towels on site. Though, the front desk didn’t pick up the phone when we called from our room, I called 3 times, We wanted more towels sent to our room, we used the hotel towels at the beach. House keeping did not respond too, we had to go down from our floor, which was the 18th floor and wait in line to ask for more towels."

"Room is clean and nice, spacious. Breakfast is excellent and some food varies everyday, staff are very friendly. Although they couldn’t accommodate us to have a late check out but we were able to have our luggage stored because our flight was at night. Resort fee was expensive. We couldn’t use the happy hour because we were always out. So fat we were happy staying there."
