Savonlinna 3 Stars Hotels

"Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Old school turned into a hotel, wood-fired sauna in its own building, food and herbs from their own garden. Bathtub was good-sized, bed was surprisingly comfortable and I personally loved that I could open the windows in my suite. Little bit of creaking here and there, but it didn't bother me. "I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. "Beautiful place set by lake outside the town of Puumala. It was a very peaceful and serene setting, a great place to go to get away from busy cities. I would say that the staff were friendly rather than warm and helpful."

"We had one of their smallest cottages, which was okay priced for this time. There's pretty much nothing in the cabin, which was to be expected. The communaltoilets and showers are decent. Please note you have to bring your own bed linen and towels. They should announce this better on their Hotels.com page! The location is amazing, though."
