「Only 12 parking spaces. Had to park 3 roads away! Can’t check in until 4pm. By the time the queue to check in was clear it was 5pm. Nowhere to sit and have a drink as hosting a funeral. That can’t be helped but had to sit in my room. Went to ask for an evening meal at 6.50pm as was too worried to go out and not be able to re park and waitress tutted huffed sighed and rolled her eyes at us! Calling out “ there’s two more now” totally annoyed! Way over £200 room only. Absolute joke.」

「This property is unique and rare - owned by an innkeeper who welcomes you to his table with warm hospitality and decades of history to share. Mr. Miller is a wealth of information and retired thatcher. This is not a place for you if you need a well-appointed hotel to feel good about leaving your home. This is a historic property with purbeck flag stones and Welsh slate on the kitchen floor. The stove is as wide as your arms. There are wild pheasants in the fields and silent nights nestled in...

「Staff was friendly when helped us settle down, and bring breakfast basket to the room. Room space is still OK enough to put my lugguages and bags, and so far not bad though seems a bit old for furniture and devices. Windows need be closed otherwise there could be spiders crossing the dent, since it is 2nd floor and we are near a roof of meal bench. The biggest problem is the water tap of the shower tube, because it provided little hot water no matter how we rotated or twisted it. My wife failed...

「The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.」
