"If you are looking to experience how Japanese travel, sleep on tatami rooms and eat a good selection of Japanese food. Then this hotel is a good choice. Your room includes a breakfast and dinner buffetes and most people wear the colorful yukata provided by the hotel. The property is a bit out of date but the public bath is quite nice. Transportation into the city is limited and taxi is about $20 USD"

"Our room overlooked the treed face of the cliff, down to the stream at the bottom. It was very relaxing. The staff were all very welcoming, and the half board dinner and breakfast were amazing."

"I really like the location of this hotel/onsen. It's right on the river and you can hear and view it as you soak in the onsen or as you're enjoying tea in your room. The staff tried their best to help us in english. Between that and Google we were able to figure things out. The only disappointment is that meals were included but we were never told that we had to reserve and same day reservations are not permitted.
