「This is a lovely property in a beautiful spot. We stayed in one of the historic rooms in the main building. It was comfortable, quiet, and the water pressure was excellent. The three course dinner with wine pairings was delicious and beautifully presented, if a tad pricey. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A unique hotel experience that we would definitely do again.」

「The hotel host was very friendly and provided us with a very warm welcome. The room is clean and tidy. The 3 courses dinner there tasted very good and definitely worth the money. The only disadvantage would be the noise problem in room though ear plugs are provided.」

「Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!」

「The location on the beautiful lake and close to the fjords and lots of activities was great. The breakfast was good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Of course, it is a guest house and our room was equipped with simple bunk beds. But it was very nice stay for us as a family. 」

「Prefect location, wonderful view from the room, nice and helpful staff, comfortable room and bed, the staff also helping to tell me the supermarket location and open time, hiking route.」

「Trivelig og hyggelig service i fantastisk omgivelser. En skikkelig urnorsk opplevelse i tradisjonelle hytter. Kommer svært gjerne tilbake og kan anbefales på det sterkeste! Eneste minus er kanskje noe utdatert kjøkken og bad, men fungerte fint. 」
