「This was stated as a 3 star hotel, i would give it a 4 star. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent and very tasty. They kindly moved us from a room with shower to a room with a bath. Lovely fluffy towels. This hotel is very good value for money. There is only about 6 parking spaces at the hotel,although you are Allowed to park in the carpark across the road free of charge. 」

「Fantastic hotel which has clearly had a lot of work done in recent times. I was greeted warmly by Ricky and checked in to Room 2, which was massive - and simply perfect for my (5 stone) greyhound, as he had space to move. The Royal Marine is one of 2 dog friendly hotels in the area, and as you can see, His Lordship was made ever so welcome and he slept like a log, as did I! 「Really enjoyed our stay at Tontine. Very well located for getting around Greenock and travelling to Glasgow and other surrounding towns. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and rooms were clean and comfortable. There were quite a few parties over the weekend in the event room but we didn’t hear anything when we went back to our rooms. Nice and quiet. Would recommend. 」

「Second stay here - returning after a previous visit in 2018. The same 3-bed room is as impeccable as before (with one new decorative item), but most importantly the helpful staff is a newly-discovered plus: accidentally left behind a bottle of whisky in the room and I was already in another town once I noticed that, then after contacting the hotel everything's sorted out at once and a few days later the bottle arrived safely in very proper packaging (done better than what I usually do for...
